Canadian healthcare failing.,overcrowded and failing socialized medical system in their country they have set up private membership clinics where, for $2,000 a year, patients can access well staffed and equipped clinics and avoid the long waits and compromised care of the public system.
Thank you for posting an informative and unbiased videos. I do like the idea of paying for quality care rather than quantity and advocating preventative health measures (just have to start early)! Also, I like the idea of free healthcare for everyone. I also hope for a more simple system. I just get so confused with the complexity of this healthcare system... maybe I don't truly understand?
I am from Great Britain, and i think free healthcare is a right, what kind of a sick country lets its own citizens die on the streets? Especially when guns and weapons are so easily obtainable.
People complain about our NHS but i think its the best thing our country has ever done. Im not a socialist, but Free Healthcare is a Human Right, even the Conservatives in Britain agree.
Bottom line: If you pay $30/month through your job for a health insurance plan that would cost you $250/month if you were self-employed and had to buy your own, you are getting a subsidy. Your level of medical care shouldn't depend on how generous your employer is. And employers are much less generous these days.
So unlike car insurance if you don't get into an accident for say 5 years you've just contributed to the pool. With health insurance because now you have to pay, why not get your monies worth. Don't wait till you get sick, see your doctor for a regular checkup. See a dentist twice a year for cleaning. Get your eyes examined see how they degrade over time. With Car insurance you wouldn't want to get into an accident on purpose. With health insurance you can get health care as it was intended.
how much is spent per month on private insurance each month? have you looked at you check stubs lately? do the math. what you put in - plus what your company puts in - times 50 million people just like you equals how much? the people working at insurance companies know a good thing when they see it
It is really sad all the lies that Americans are being told about socialized health care system. I am Canadian, and other than a little wait time for specialist, I have no complaints about our system. I have a wonderful family doctor, and my husband, son and I have yearly check ups. When I have real health emergency like the early birth of my son I was treat right away. When son was born I had 2 doctors and 4 nurses in the delivery room. Amazing Care!
hmmm, everyone is REQUIRED to have health care coverage? lol, if that doesn't violate THE CONSTITUTION then what does? Forcing the American people to buy something from a private industry. Oh yeah and when you require a health insurance company to accept everyone with preexisting conditions they are going to be taking money from the company without first paying in(monthly premium) therefore the insurance companies are loosing money. The insurance companies WILL raise premiums to make up for it.

Karen Ignagni, Billy Tauzin. You or I did not vote for these parasites, yet they control legislation. Get rid of the so called "insurance" structure and we will then be better off.
New health bill sucks but its the only reform the insurance industry will allow regarding costs. Obama once admitted if it was up to him, hed choose single payer, but industry owns government & any idea of single payer was essentially sanitized from american consciousness. Industry duped & used both Right & Left to pass this bill. Wellpoint & other insurers funded chamber of commerce to oppose & tea party against any form of public plan while passing a bill written by Wellpoint exec, Liz Fowler.
