This is insanity. Health is not a commodity. It should not be treated like one. This video was produced by a for profit corporation making millions in profit off of people at their most vulnerable moments in life, when they are sick, or injured.
humana humana humana lol..
while this does sound peachy, i believe that all taxpayers should chip in for a National Health Service.. and the education system and work force have a daily exercise half hour every day to ensure everyone stays fit.. :D
i believe they r try to cause civil unrest so they can impose martial law to finish us off.its more than obvious to me the leaders of this country are so controlled by the bankers and oil companies.what we need to do is start to listen to these people who claim they can generate power by other means than oil solar or wind.why is there no research money spent on using water for fuel or magnets for electric?overunity is possible and our energy should be next to free.this will free the people.
Is this a joke?
Health care is not a business it is a necessity.
Did they honestly just compare buying a rake to getting health care? am I missing something here?
Yeah, Michael Moore's 'Sicko' was a great movie.
People in other countries receive healthcare (and college education) simply for being human.
Now we can bask in the devastating effects of pure greed, its also nice to know that the effects of Americas greed is being felt worldwide. That makes other countries love us SO much more.
using google and online help,
you will make "wiser" choice about your "treatment" plan than your doctors.
well said
good
no grief! stay smarty, stay healthy!
At what point should her father have stopped trying to save the lives of his family in order to make an 'informed consumer decision'?
Healthcare cannot be compared to other forms of consumerism because healthcare is often based on need rather than desire.
One of my ex-girlfriends almost died her sophomore year of college. The chimney in her parent's house became blocked and her whole family started to become ill. On the second day after the blockage their symptoms became unbearable and her father called for an ambulance. She had CO2 poisoning and spent multiple days in an oxygen tent. After leaving the hospital she was sent a bill for $25,000 because her family did not have insurance.
Well developed video - only one problem. The base assumption is that Gary knows what the hell he's doing. What if Gary didn't have a college education? What if Gary had brain damage? What if Gary was intellectually challenged? What if Gary didn't care about his children? Is it right for society to let them rely on his stupidity?
Great! What we need is more choice! We need to let the market work, instead of having government or big HMO's spoon feed us crap.
Give "free" government health care to the poor only, but leave the rest of us to shop around a pay for our own insurance.
Propaganda. It's not Consumer Driven Health Care, it's Profit Driven Health Care. When you turn health care into a business, you're cutting off funding for patients because less money spent on patients/customers=lower bottom line=more profits for the company. i don't know how it could be more simple than that.
